Exhibition - FOOD, Jamtli

Location: Östersund city
Arena/Place: Jamtli
Category: Exhibits

Jamtli is temporarily open weekends 11-17.

Be inspired and step into the exhibition "FOOD" and discover that what you eat is about more than just making you full.

Pizza, tacos and béarnaise sauce are common on many people's plates when something really good is to be served. Others focus on delicacies from charcuterie, sushi or a juicy bouillabaisse. Some people fight against milk allergy, gluten and lactose while others focus on counting carbohydrates, protein and fat. Some do not like fish while others shed a tear of joy at the sour herring premiere. If the crisis comes, some can survive for several months while others begin to suffer after a few days.

What is your relationship to the food on your plate? Do you eat just to be full? Do you dare to try a new recipe for meatballs and will you like the insects that everyone seems to be talking about? The exhibition FOOD takes you from thousands of years of hunting and fishing to today's trends and dishes where interest in the local food craft grows while we are appalled by the price of avocado. Here you can investigate how far into a food crisis you can cope, play in the children's greenhouse and discover how the circumstances surrounding the food on our ancestors' plates have changed over the years.
