We will join an art residency.
It is celebrated with thundering inland rock and bleeding soul from Norrland.
JOHDET PIRAK is an artist duo with their roots in Norrbotten's hinterland where they currently work. Their art is usually rooted in their cultural heritage and rural life in the north where the storytelling tradition is still strong. Art becomes a tool for the life of tradition to progress as well as develop.
Their conceptual works are usually guided by the place they work in, what it has to offer, and the materials are usually locally rooted. Nature is an important part of their art and the awareness of modern subcultures has nurtured them as well as the Tornedalian and Sami heritage and the endless love from the sea to the mountain tops and everything in between.
You will be able to take part in their exhibition from the time we open until we close for the evening. The music starts at half past seven.
Alma Augusta - The northern lights from Leipojärvi - vibrate straight up in the sky of stars that make us feel deeply. Naked as the mountain massif, fragile as autumn's first ice sheet, rocking hot as the flames of fire.
Indie meets show and blues when Alma Augusta plays songs from her upcoming debut album. You may have already seen her at Saltofolk, Kirunafestivalen or Folk & Fä in Piteå to name a few and you should definitely not miss her when she visits our neighborhood for a powerful gig.
Johan Airijoki with Malmfältets Rockklubb & Vänner will, as usual, come with full force and steady calm to take us on a musical journey where the experience will be intimate and magnificent. We are extremely happy!
Johan Airijoki - electric guitar and vocals
Markus Larsson - drums
Markus Ernehed - saxophone, friend
Robin Lindqvist - bass and chorus, friend
Kenneth Backelund - electric guitar, friend
As usual, we hold it outdoors in a really cozy courtyard, where both food and drinks are available for purchase in the area.
We open admission from 4 pm, so it is highly recommended to be there from then.
Parking is available adjacent to the area, alternatively down by Ångsta church a stone's throw below the E45. Feel free to carpool!
Of course, we follow the restrictions surrounding Covid-19, so remember to keep your distance, wash your hands often and take care of each other.
