Welcome to a fast-paced and solution-focused lecture about ADHD and how you can relate to the children and young people with ADHD that you meet at school, in your free time or in your family.
Being around a child with ADHD means that you are both influenced and influenced. My lecture gives you as a parent or teacher thoughts about and support in how to combine this so that you create good attitudes in the family and at school.
Having children with ADHD is a challenge that I share with you. Based on my own experiences as a parent and based on the thoughts of my own ADHD brain, I give you in the lecture strengthening tips and advice on how to relate in a good and effective way in the relationship with your child or student.
The lecture wants to inspire you to create and try new strategies around your child or student, but will certainly also give you strength in that much of what you are doing is actually already right, or just needs to be tweaked a little to become even more effective .
My name is Håkan Ernklev, who is giving the lecture, and I am a long-time lecturer in communication and ADHD, as well as a parent and foster parent of children with various NPF diagnoses. I hold groups for parents who have children who have difficulties in their schooling or whom the school has difficulty accepting for various reasons. I am also affected by my very own ADHD brain which both helps and overturns - without discrimination - which creates some experiences worth sharing with me for increased understanding of you around your child or student.
