The Territory provides a close look at the tireless struggle of the Uru-eu-wau-wau indigenous people against the illegal settlers who are deforesting their land in the Brazilian Amazon. With stunning photography and sound design, the film takes us deep into the Uru-eu-wau-wau community, while also featuring close-up footage of the settlers illegally burning and clearing land alongside a network of farmers fighting to legitimize their illegal land claims .
Filmed in part by the Uru-eu-wau-wau people, the film consists of parts of their footage shot over three years as the natives literally risk their lives in an attempt to uncover the truth.
