Portuguese folk music and popular music meet jazz. "Ciranda" is the name of the young virtuoso trumpeter Gileno Santana's project, where he collaborates with Inês Vaz (accordion), two brilliant musicians with enormous warmth offering a tasteful mix of popular and traditional Portuguese music and jazz.
You will hear a clearly brilliant trumpet game, whose melodies are enriched by the accordion's harmonies and are carried by its rhythmic skeletons. Together they build a world in strong fadoanda of both sweet melancholy and contagious happy music. Gileno Santana is from Brazil, but now lives in Portugal, where Inês Vaz lives.
