Address: Museiplan, 831 31 Östersund
Jamtli offers an exciting journey through the history of Jämtland and Härjedalen. Here you will discover stimulating milieux and enjoy being part of history. The museum has permanent exhibitions about the region’s past alongside temporary exhibitions of arts and handicrafts. Some exhibitions take up current matters of public interest and explore them from an historical perspective.
Here you also find the Nationalmuseum Jamtli which is a new arena for art and design experiences in Östersund. After a well attended premiere exhibition, it is now time for a sequel from the collections of Nationalmuseum. "From Dawn to Dusk - Nordic art from the turn of the twentieth century" opens on 28 May. With 130 works from artists such as Elsa Beskow, Anders Zorn and Bruno Liljefors.
