Finally, we have a gig with the fantastic songwriter and artist Lars Bygdén, born and raised in Sundsvall, with a collection of songs that matches many big names.
In the second half of the 90s, Lars Bygdén started the country rock band The Thousand Dollar Playboys and then became a central figure in the rise of the ltcountry scene in Sweden, when he introduced the genre to a completely new audience within the indie scene, where country music had previously been almost considered a pariah. After the band's breakup in 2003, he released several acclaimed albums, the last two of which revolved around his wife's death from cancer. They have attracted a lot of attention and been widely praised in both the Swedish and foreign press.
Lars Bygdén is a fantastic stage personality who builds up dark moods, but in his darkness the light is always present i.a. through the way he often treats the heavy subjects in his texts with humor, self-distance and a liberating lightness in interviews and conversations.
Expect a different and strong concert experience that you are guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face.
Captain Cook opens the doors at 5 p.m., local support starts at 7 p.m. and Lars Bygdén at 7:45 p.m. (approx. times). Be smart and book a table with the restaurant on 063-126090. Eat and drink something good to complete the evening!
