Devotional Sufi chanting and dancing fingers from the borderland between Pakistan and India. The trio Amrat Hussain Brothers, consisting of Amrat Hussain, Sanjay Khan and Teepu Khan, are passing on the North Indian classical and Sufi repertoire to new generations around the world.
The tradition of Sufi music goes back a long way and was introduced at an early age to the members of the Amrat Hussain Brothers Trio who have seven generations of musicians behind them and carry on the richly decorated songs and the virtuosic dance of the fingers over the drum skins.
The trio has played at festivals around the world, including in Portugal, France and Morocco. Together, they offer a poetic journey in captivating rhythms, elegant melodies and captivating virtuosity. Amrat Hussain's passionate tablas playing has also, among other things, could be heard behind the Palestinian world artist Adnan Jobran.
